The 4Runner is a more sporty or outdoorsy vehicle, so chances are you're probably gonna wanna haul something with it, especially if it has electric brakes or if you wanna do some overlanding or some off-roading and you have some accessories on the back of here that require power. That's gonna be a few reasons why you're gonna need some wiring and how it's gonna accomplish that. There's gonna be two really common wiring types and that's gonna be a 7-pole and your 4-pole wiring. Now, a lot of different 4Runners are gonna have different variations on this, and that's mainly gonna depend on what trim package you have. Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer and today, we're talking about the Tekonsha T-One Four Pole Wiring Harness on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Now what this is gonna allow you to do is use your existing seven pole wiring and hook this four pole wiring to it so you have the ability to not only use a seven pole, but also a four pole wiring. So let's check it out. A reason why you might need a four pole wiring is if you have any accessories or trailers that only use four pole wiring because it is still a very common system to use. Now, this isn't gonna limit you to just using four pole, you'll still have ability to use the seven pole tube. I recommend just making sure that you know what your 4Runner has because there are plenty of different trim packages for the 4Runner and each one of them has different wiring kits already installed on them. more

It'll come with this integrated dust cap that you can simply loop around the safety chain loop and attach it back to itself to keep it safe and out of the way. Adding the 7-pole wiring harness to the back of your Acadia is gonna allow you to tow trailers with brakes. And typically, a 4-pole wiring harness is gonna be for your trailers with without brakes. That's just the lighting signals transferred from your vehicle to the trailer. But if you're wanting to tow trailers that have brakes, or maybe a reverse light signal or if the trailer has a battery on it, or any accessory that runs off 12 volt, you're gonna need a 7-pole. more

If you install a hitch on your Telluride, it might be a good idea to pick up some trailer wiring harness. Obviously if you plan on towing a trailer, but it is one of those things, it's nice to have. Review of CURT Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring - Trailer Hitch Wiring - C55ZV- Video
Hello, friends and neighbors, welcome back, I'm Steven with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at our CURT T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the four-pole flat trailer connector. Now with any wiring connector here, or most of 'em, they are custom fit, I went ahead and threw up that by my left-hand shoulder, this particular part fits a 2018 through 2022 Toyota CHR, and it also fits the 2022s to 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross with LED lights. Now always use our fit guide, etrailer.com, center of the page, you can put in your year, make, and model, make sure you're getting the right part the first time. Now this four-way will provide a connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's turn signals. It is compatible with five-pole, six-pole, and seven-pole adapters. more

So getting into it, again, this does fit a 2015 to 2020 Toyota Sienna, excluding the SE model. So again, if you have an SE model, this particular one is not the one for you. Today, we have a 2024 Subaru Forester, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how easy it is to install this CURT Four-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness. So if you've got a trailer hitch on your Subaru Forester and you're wanting to start pulling trailers with it, first off, you will want to check with your owner's manual, see what your vehicle's capable of pulling. And then second off, you'll want to add four-pole wiring. The four-pole wiring is gonna give your four lighting functions, which are going to be your stop and turn signals and your running light signals. That's going to safely transfer from the back of your vehicle to your trailer lights to let others know what your intentions are when you're going down the road. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Nissan Murano- Video
Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2017 Nissan Murano, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness. Adding a 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness to the back of your Murano is gonna allow you to safely transfer the lighting signals from your Murano to your trailer to let others know what your intentions are when you're pulling that trailer. This kit will give you your left turn signal, your right turn signal. It will combine those signals to give you your stop signal. It'll have your running lights and then the fourth wire on your 4-Pole is going to be your ground so that the system works properly. more
